Mr. 'A' is ONE

I have had the pleasure of photographing Mr. A for one entire year! He makes the over 2 hour trek every 3 months to see me. He's the happiest little guy. He fell asleep at the exit and his Mommy was worried since he didn't get his typical nap that he would be crabby. He sure fooled her. He was the happiest little dude!

Valentine Sessions on the 28th

Today we had the 2nd round of Valentine Mini Sessions with a new backdrop. I had so many cute kids through the door that it was super tough to narrow down my choices for the blog. So if you are interested in seeing more, click HERE. Thanks to everyone that made it out!

We are currently booked solid for the Easter Mini Sessions. I'm waiting payment from a few. These spots will either open up or I will plan on opening up Friday, as I have a growing waiting list! I sure hope these baby bunnies are ready!!

Miss V is 9 months

Miss 'V' is part of my baby collection. She's the prettiest, happiest little girl around! She's got the most beautiful blue eyes! We had a blast today! She's SO BIG in this one!

I got to see some new faces today! Everyone was so sweet and we had so much fun with the 'paint'. This first little dude has 'super hero hearts'. It was the cutest thing!

This little man looked like a model. He had the most beautiful blonde hair and blue eyes.

Little 'L' turn ONE!

This little one year old came to visit me yesterday. He's so sweet! He's the little brother to 3 other beautiful children. I finally figured out his word that makes him laugh or smile. It was 'uh-oh'. He laughed and smiled so much.

Sometimes you have to act pretty goofy to get the best smiles. I love this one. He was cracking up!

I can't believe that little 'L' is already ONE! This year has flown by. He's apart of my Sweet Baby Collection. I was able to photograph him for his 1st year. I really enjoy looking back over the year to see how they change and grow.

New Year and New Resolution!

My goal this year is to stay on top of this blog!! So here's to my 1st Newborn of the year. I introduce to you Miss Baby Abigail. Isn't she so beautiful!!??

I was so excited to get my mail yesterday because this lovely hat arrived from Twiddlebits. If you need a baby hat, check her out. This is my favorite (I say this a lot) hat that she was sent to date. It's a new style that I love!!

She has the most beautiful lips!

I just love baby feet!

She absolutely loved this basket. She was content to stay and sleep all afternoon in this!

Thank you Abigail's Mommy and Grandma for spending the afternoon with me. It was great to get to know you both better. I hope to see you again soon!

I had the best afternoon with sweet Baby Jackson. He slept through the entire session. His Mommy was so sweet and we ended up knowing several mutual people! It's a small world, for sure! This little guy is super lucky...his Daddy is a farmer AND uses John Deere!! I could have taken photos of him forever! Enjoy your peek!

This sweet little girl is 3 months already. She's probably the strongest 3 month old I've ever photographed. She has amazing neck control and can nearly sit up by herself! Her little cousin came along and together we captured the most adorable expressions!

Her eyes are such a beautiful color of blue!

A Photo Play Date!

I was lucky enough to spend the afternoon with a new photographer friend in Bethalto, Illinois last week. She owns Shutterly Amazing Photography and recently opened a new Studio. We were going to get together to talk 'shop' but then decided it would be way more fun to photograph a newborn together. One of my high school friends that lives in St. Louis, Missouri now just happend to have a baby at the perfect time. So we were able to photograph baby Frank together. He was the perfect model and let us try many things with him. It was so great to catch up with his parents too! Enjoy the little sneak peek of my take on the day!

Mr. Wyatt has grown!

Wyatt's Mommy and I go WAY back! We played traveling softball together for many years and will forever be connected by a 4-leaf clover. :) We reconnected again through Facebook a few years ago and meet up at least once a summer in the Ozarks. I took their photos last year too. It was so much fun seeing how much Wyatt has changed. I'm not sure who changed more, me or him. I was 8 months pregnant at his last session! Wyatt is full of energy and we had fun chasing him around to get some fun photos! We had fun trying out a new location this year too.

I just love how he decided to place his feet in this one! So cute...

Ok, so I've been HORRIBLE about updating the blog! But, after taking a week off, I'm refocused, motivated and ready to tackle this again! So here goes:

I met this little Mason and his Mommy on one of the hottest days of the year in Camdenton, Missouri. It was already 92 by 9am. It was so humid and hot! We made it through without melting and even got a few smiles out of the little man. He made me work for it and I'm sure anyone that drove by thought I was pretty crazy! He has such a cute little personality and it was a joy meeting he and his Mommy! Enjoy your sneak peek B!

Little Ayden came to visit us at the Studio today. We were supposed to get together before Christmas but illness took over and made that impossible. Happy Thanksgiving!

I have so much to be thankful for this year. Since March my dreams have really come true with my Photography biz! I never imagined it could be so great! I have the most wonderful Clients! I'm having such an amazing time with all of this.

I'm also thankful for the STUDIO that will be open for business soon!! Come inside and get out of the cold winter weather to be photographed with tons of new backdrops and props!

I'll be open for business all winter long!! I'm already booking sessions through April so if you know of a milestone coming up or you're having a baby please contact me so I can get you on the books before I'm booked!

I will also be having some Mini Sessions in late January so have your little 'Valentine's' ready!! I plan on putting together a package to include Valentine's of your little sweeties!

I met one of the cutest brown-eyed boys today! His name is Mason and he has a big birthday coming up! He wasn't too sure of me at first but soon warmed up and we had a lot of fun. It's so fun seeing how much the kiddos change in a year! We had so much fun at this session. This kids did so great and were up for anything! We were set to get together in the morning but decided it was going to be too cold for that. So we waited until later in the day to meet up. I'm sure glad we did because we had the perfect weather for this 'Fall' session!

Meet the Chadwick Family! We had such a neat spot, just outside of town, picked out for their session but it was freezing and windy! Not a good combination when you have little kids involved. We braved it for a few shots and then decided to head into town and try to find a spot a little less windy. Pike County Sessions

On our way home from our 'vacation' we stopped for a limited amount of sessions in Pike County. These are just a few of my favorites. I got to photograph families I've been photographing for several years and even 3 new families. It was so much fun to have new locations, new faces and new props! It was SO hot and humid out but we all survived and had fun! We even got to play in a creek and get photos with a John Deere tractor.

I have had inquiries about when I'll be back for more sessions and I'm considering October so once it's decided I'll make an announcement. Once again, I'll only have a limited amount of sessions and it will be 1st come 1st pick on session times. Thank you so much for all of the support and kind comments!

Mommy & Me

I was asked to photograph these twins soon after their Mommy found out she was expecting. I was so excited and a wee bit nervous because I have never photographed newborn twins before. I have to say, if all twins are this easy then I'll take them everyday! They slept and posed perfectly the entire day!! These are just 3 of my favorites!

This really is no joke. We hung them from a tree branch. I've been wanting to try this but thought my 1st time might be a little too difficult with twins...but we did it!

This just might have been one of my most fun sessions yet! We tried this shoot on another day but little Brody was teething and ended up having an ear infection on top of it all. So we rescheduled and got a few photos in before it started pouring. We waited...hoping it would pass quickly! The skies finally cleared and we ventured back out and let him play in the puddles. He loved it and I loved the results we got!

It was extremely hot and humid this night but these little guys did great! I was a bit nervous going into this session when I learned the ages....2, 8 weeks and 9 months! They weren't into getting in real close to the baby so we did the best we could.

I immediately fell in love with this little guy and his eyes!! Heavenly! They were the prettiest shade of blue. He was such a good little poser too! He never made a peep!

Miss Natalie

I've had the opportunity to capture Natalie and her brother a few times now. We were able to get some photos in before the skies opened up yet again! Natalie wasn't really in the mood for photos...I heard she acts like her Daddy. ;)

I love the natural poses and expressions I got from her though! I did get a few of her smiling but these are just 2 of my many favorites!

This family of 4 was so much fun to capture. They were literally up for anything I threw at them...even the Dad played along!
The expressions on the boys faces are priceless in this one!

Garrett has always been my little buddy. I love the poses he naturally came up with! Such a sweetie!

These 2 brothers are buddies and are sure to be heart-breakers in several more years! Colton loved coming up with new locations and poses. He was really getting into it. I love it when kids are this way-makes my job easy!

The Baseball Player

I captured these images of our own little baseball player! Ross plays on a traveling team. The poor guy hasn't been able to play yet this summer because on the last day of school broke 2 of his fingers playing kickball! We hope he heals up soon and gets back out on the field!

Brandie is a new client of mine and I'm so glad that I was able to capture these images for she and her family. The love that she and Tom have for each other is so evident, even through the tough times they're experiencing. We wish you the best!

I love the results we got from this session! Mom, Dad and I worked and worked to get Miss Avery to sleep this day! I heard she slept quite soundly after leaving me! Although the images I did get it appears she slept the entire session.

This family came to Bloomington for me to photograph! I was SO excited for the opportunity. Little man is turning 1 soon and gave me a run for my money!! He's so cute but didn't want to give me very many smiles! I love his little smirks though! He's going to be a heart-breaker one day for sure!
